Anacondas belong to the largest and heaviest snake species on our planet. This primary aquatic snakes live mainly in the swamps and marshes of South America. They are cumbersome on land, due to their enormous weight but stealthy and sleek in the water. Their eyes and nasal openings are on top of their heads, allowing them to lie waiting for prey while remaining almost submerged on the water surface. Anacondas feed on almost anything they can overpower including large animals such as capybaras and even the aggressive caimans.
When prey approaches, the anaconda will strike with a swift bite, coiling around its victim's body, constricting and suffocating it fast. Many local stories and legends report the anaconda as a man-eater, but little evidence supports any such activity. Anaconda was filmed by Heiko Kiera aka Ojatro in 2013.
