On this episode of AMC Mail Bag (Saturday December 6th 2014) we take the following viewer emails:
Robert Miller writes: Hello AMC Movie Talk love your show been watching for almost a year now. Do you think Bad Santa will ever get a sequel? I always thought it would be awesome if they made a Bad Easter Bunny or something and bring Billy Bob back. Or give it the Tommy Boy/Black Sheep treatment bring back the same actors but different characters. Thanks and keep bringing the filth.
Luke Wiklund writes: Hi guys love the show you kill it everytime. I was curious, is it just me or does Marvel's Quicksilver seem slower than Fox's Quicksilver?
Iris Tahou writes: We already have a marvel cinematic universe, a dc cinematic universe albeit one film so far, and universal are upping the ante with their forthcoming monsters cinematic universe. Do you think this is the next trend in cinema? If so, what other cinematic universes would you like to see come to fruition. I personally would love to see a DIsney Cinematic Universe with Prince charming torn in a love triangle between Snow White and Cinderella.
Chris writes: Like every other Fanboy out there I’ve been watching the Episode VII trailer obsessively, but I don’t think it shows us as much as some people think it does. If we had seen certain images from A New Hope we might have assumed Mark Hamill and Harrison Ford were playing stormtroopers before the fact. My question is about the first real trailer for the film. Do you think they will release it at Celebration, or will Disney wait until and include it with Age of Ultron? With the Ultron release date at May 1st and Star Wars Day on May 4th, the timing is a good fit. Bring on the Filthy.
Kyle Curtis writes: Hello guys, HUGE FAN. Quick question... Since DC didn't announce someone playing green lantern would that mean that green lantern won't be in Justice League Part 1 (or 2)?? Just curious what you guys think, thanks and bring on the filthay!
Taylor Simmons writes: I saw today that Jared Leto was coming close to finalizing a deal for Suicide Squad. If he in fact joins the cast, could he be portraying the Joker? Do you think it's too soon for another actor to reprise the role after Heath Ledger's legendary performance? If not, do you think Leto will reach the bar set by Ledger?
Thanks and keep up the good work!
D.A. Miller writes: Hey AMC Movie Maniacs love the show I have a question regarding how older movies compare to modern movies. everyone grades movies on how many millions of dollars it makes. but that is confusing considering I saw a matinee in the 80's of The Empire Strikes Back for only $2.00 and I can only Guess how much movies cost in the 30's and 40's. So if you compare 1 old movie view to 1 modern movie view... what move would be the leader?
Charlie Shotton writes: Hey AMC crew you are the best! My question is simple. Why is it Star Wars: The Force Awakens not Star Wars Episode VII : The Force Awakens? I'm not complaining but it has been bothering my brain since the announced the title. Bring on the filthy!
