This documentary features two projects that are helping people with a terminal neurodegenerative disease to record video messages for their families, enabling them to leave a legacy for future generations. Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as motor neuron disease (MND), affects the nerve cells that control muscle movement. At present, there is no cure for ALS and people with the condition gradually lose the use of their muscles, eventually becoming unable to speak. This makes recording video messages challenging but also incredibly valuable for those with ALS and their loved ones.
