- The weather in Africa is different depending on which region you’re in. There are also vast temperature variations and climate conditions with each season.
- Although there are some parts of the continent you’d better avoid when planning your itinerary, that doesn’t mean you have to give up the idea of visiting Africa altogether. It’s not hard to find perfectly safe places for tourists and comfortable locations.
- There are up to 2,000 African languages and dialects that are spoken across the continent. Swahili is the most common, but you can also hear people speaking French, Arabic, Spanish, and Portuguese, to name just a few.

- Not all countries in Africa are poor. For example, Nigeria, Egypt, and South Africa have stable growing economies and are strong players in the global financial market.
- In most countries, kids, teens, and young people live the same life as their peers elsewhere. They use Facebook and Instagram, and they play video games just like the rest of the world.
- There are countless annual music and art festivals held across the continent. One of the most well-known among them is AfrikaBurn.
