Thirty years ago today, a scientist at CERN named Tim Berners-Lee put the idea for the world wide web on paper and suggested to his boss that they set it up. Since then his idea has taken off in directions he could never have imagined. Today Berners-Lee is advocating to save his open and decentralized idea of the internet. He is working on projects to help Internet users keep control and ownership of their personal data.
