Trump has been trading tariffs with China this week, moving us even closer to a trade war which just about everyone on both sides thinks is a terrible idea. He defended this plan by highlighting our trade deficit with the Chinese and tweeting 'When you're already $500 Billion DOWN, you can't lose!' Trump seems to think that if one side has a deficit, that side is losing by 500 billion dollars. Since that's not how trade deficits work, we asked a second grader named Shiloh to help explain it to him in very simple terms.
