The North Carolina-based Air Cargo carrier, which was recently approved by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) to perform Scheduled Service flights between the United States and Mexico has entered into a long-term ACMI contractual arrangement with Aeromexico Cargo, a wholly-owned Grupo Aeromexico’s subsidiary. Grupo Aeromexico is a publicly-traded airline holding company headquartered in Mexico City, that owns Aeromexico, the flag carrier airline of Mexico. Delta Air Lines, Inc. is a minority stakeholder of Aeromexico.
21 Air will utilize a fleet of reliable Boeing 767-200 Extended Range Special Freighters, with 42 tons payload capacity, to operate AM Cargo’s Flight Program, which will connect Los Angeles with Mexico City, Guadalajara and Central American points.
