2014 Toyota Highlander First Drive Video

This 3rd generation Highlander has been completely redesign for the 2014 model year and features a bold new exterior, seating for up to 8 passengers, tons of technology, and more. The 2014 Toyota Highlander is available in 11 different trim levels offering both FWD and AWD with prices ranging from $29,215 - $43,590.

Starting with the exterior, the Highlander is sleek with some of Toyota's recent design language featured up front. Under the hood there are 2 engine offerings available. The first is a 2.7 liter 4-cylinder engine that makes 185 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque. This engine is good for 20 MPG in the city and 25 MPG on the highway. The second engine is a larger and more powerful 3.5 liter V-6 that makes 270 horsepower and 248 lb-ft of torque. Fuel economy ratings for this engine are 19 MPG in the city and 25 MPG on the highway. The transmission is a 6-speed automatic.

On the inside of the Highlander there are a couple of high end luxury appointments including soft-touch materials, smoked satin chrome accents, heated front seats, and even 2nd row captain's chairs. The cargo capacity was increased as was the seating capacity with the 2014 Toyota Highlander now being able to seat 8 passengers.
