Intuition is an artifact of the early days of man when the brain’s ability to detect hidden dangers ensured our survival. But, in this modern day and age, most of us use this capability so little that we don’t really know how to listen to it properly. It seems that we’ve been giving intuition far too little respect! Having said that, some people are more intuitive than others, and there are things highly intuitive people do differently!

While cognitive science is beginning to clarify the presence of unconscious reasoning in our lives and thoughts, there is one major difference that separates highly intuitive people from everyone else. And the difference is trust. Many of us block out our own intuitive knowing of what we should do in a given situation, because we are accustomed to more logical and rational thinking, whereas highly intuitive people know how to trust themselves.
