What inventions will appear in the future? There was a time not so long ago when wireless phones and space rockets seemed crazy and totally impossible. But they’ve become pretty ordinary these days. Nowadays, an average adult in the U.S. spends about $1,200 on electronic gizmos a year. Apparently, this type of expense will only increase over time since we invent more and more gadgets. As science steadily moves forward, who knows what’s next: levitating shoes, memory lenses, or invisibility cloaks? Bright Side compiled a list of the most fantastic gadgets our grandchildren will likely be using in the future.

SUMMARY:
- According to Keith Murphy, former CEO of Organovo, an organization working to change the shape of medical research, printable tissues and organs are more real than you might think. Organovo is currently designing 3D organ tissues that will function just as well as living human tissues.
- Gadgets or patches we might wear in the near future will provide real-time diagnostics for these serious conditions. This should start a new era in the history of medicine and human health as we won’t treat illnesses but prevent them from happening at the very early pre-stages.
- You’ll be able to harness sound waves and use them to power your household devices. David Cohen-Tanugi, PhD, vice president of the MIT Energy Club, explains that the stronger the vibration that accompanies the sound, the more useful it’ll be.
- It’s really hard to find people who enjoy folding laundry. So why not let a robot do this boring job for you? The designers of this time- and nerve-saving gadget hope to start sales in the US as early as in 2019!
- Levitating shoes aren’t a Harry Potter universe concept anymore, and you can already find multiple online tutorials about how to make them. It’s too early to speak about mass production of them — but where there’s a concept, there’ll be a product.
- You wouldn’t carry your regular suitcase while traveling in levitating shoes, right? You’ll just grab a mobile carrier that can travel on any surface inside and outside and hold as much stuff as a regular backpack without flipping over.
- You’ll be able to record memories as electrical impulses sent by your sensory organs. And whenever you want to go back to those memories, you’ll just have to put the microchips in the lenses into a special device that’ll create a 4D projection.
- According to their experts, memory urns will become a thing by 2025. Imagine that your grandma (who’s not an active social media user!) wants to share her memories with you. She’ll be able to record them using an ear clip that’ll store audio and video data of her brain activity.
- Flexible OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) technology will revolutionize the media and do tons of good for the environment by saving trees from extinction.
- New printer technology will let you make use of an unused pen. All you have to do is put it in a special insert on your portable lightweight printer, connect it to a computer through a USB port, give it some paper, and let it print whenever and wherever you want!
- Nanoantennas made of tiny gold blocks in the invisibility cloak will prevent the human eye from seeing that distortion. As a result, all you’ll see is a flat surface instead of a real object. Just imagine how useful this gadget will be for national security!
