Varad Pande is Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to India's Minister for Rural Development, where he advises the Minister on sustainable livelihoods, climate resilience, skills and M&E. Previously he was OSD to the Minister for Environment & Forests, where he worked on climate change and environmental governance. His contributions to UN SG's High-Level Panel on a Post-2015 Development Agenda and also on the UN SG's Global Sustainability Panel have become key inputs to the Rio+20 processes.
