Kurt Cobain was more than just the lead singer of Nirvana, one of the most popular and influential rock bands in the history of music. Many also considered him to be the voice of Generation X, ushering in Grunge music with the sonic equivalent of the world's first "okay, Boomer."

Tragically, though, he died by suicide at the age of 27, leaving behind his equally famous wife, Kurt Cobain, and their infant daughter, Frances Bean Cobain. Along with his bandmates Dave Groh, Kurt Novoselic, and Pat Smear, Cobain left a musical legacy that continues to inspire new generations. Imagining what more he could have done, though, is only one reason why the tragedy of Kurt Cobain is just so very sad.
