Apparently director Roland Emmerich is so happy with the job that screenwriters James A. Woods and Nicolas Wright have done on the INDEPENDENCE DAY 2 script, he and MGM have hired them to write the screenplay for Emmerich’s upcoming reboot of STARGATE. Emmerich plans on making a trilogy based on his 1994 film which originally starred Kurt Russell and James Spader.
