Kashmiri women are claiming that India's move to revoke Indian-administered Kashmir's special autonomy has put them in danger. They say that they are living in fear of sexual abuse, harassment and objectification. There have been reports of rising sexual assault against women in Kashmir since India scrapped Article 370, which had granted Kashmir wide-ranging autonomy. The changes instituted by India's government also appear to have fueled a flurry of social media posts from Indian men, who say they are now eager to go marry Kashmiri women.
