As many expected, Joaquin Phoenix took home a Golden Globe statue for his performance in Todd Phillips' Joker. Phoenix made headlines in his acceptance speech with a profanity-laced plea in which he addressed the ongoing climate crisis including the ongoing wildfires in Australia. Phoenix urged Hollywood to 'do better' by not taking private jets to Palm Springs. Following the star, Phoenix attended the WME after party at Palm Springs and while he approached fans to say hi, he wasn't in the mood to sign autographs.
