Jennifer Jason Leigh Joins Hateful Eight - AMC Movie News

1 The female lead in Quentin Tarantino's "The Hateful Eight" is no longer up for grabs. Jennifer Jason Leigh has officially landed the role of Daisy Domergue, known as "The Prisoner". Wanted for murder and due to hang for her crimes, Daisy is being handled by two bounty hunters and a local sheriff. This highly coveted role was chased in recent months by the likes of such high-profile talent as Michelle Williams, Hilary Swank, Robin Wright and Demi Moore and was read by Amber Tamblyn at the live script reading. Samuel L. Jackson and Kurt Russell played the bounty hunters at that reading and are expected to return, as well as some of the other actors that participated in it, but Leigh is the first official cast member that has been announced.
