Germany has agreed to take in four children born to former or deceased fighters from the so-called Islamic State. A German delegation traveled there to receive the children. Three are orphans, and the other is just six months old and seriously ill.
They have been living in the al-Hol camp in north-eastern Syria, which holds over 70,000 women and children. It's the first time Germany has taken in children of German Islamic State adherents. Other European countries, including France and Belgium, have already done so. But there are still more than 100 children from German parents awaiting to be repatriated.
