Egyptians begin voting today on a constitutional referendum that could grant the country's authoritarian leader, Abdel Fattah el Sisi, another term in office. The proposed changes to the constitution would also give the former army general more power over the judiciary and give the military more control over Egypt's affairs. With the referendum expected to easily pass, human rights activists are warning that el Sisi is tightening his iron grip on the country as Western democracies look the other way. Have the dreams of the Arab Spring ended with another president for life?
