"U.S. Rep. Michael Grimm was taken into custody Monday to face federal charges following a two-year investigation of his campaign financing, prosecutors said.

The Staten Island Republican was set to be arraigned later Monday in federal court in Brooklyn.

Prosecutors didn't immediately specify the exact charges, but investigators have been examining his fundraising in a 2010 race and his involvement in a Manhattan restaurant.
