Heavy snow has brought Alpine regions in Germany and Austria to a standstill, with no end in sight. More than 20 people have died in what is some of the heaviest snowfall in two decades, and forecasters say more snow is on the way. DW's Amien Essif is on the ground in the ski resort town of Altaussee, which is in one of the worst affected areas in Austria. The biggest fears here are of avalanches, and the only activity is shoveling snow from rooftops.
