The 12th generation Toyota Corolla aims to pick-up some market share lost to the current Honda Civic with a lot of premium touches both inside and out. Overall the new Corolla is a very cool little car. Starting with the exterior the Celestite Gray Metallic paint looks great with the blacked out trim pieces. The top-of-the-line XSE model rides on some sweet 18-inch wheels. Sharp styling continues out back with a low profile rear spoiler, diffuser, and twin tail pipes. Prices range from $19,500 for the base L trim up to $25,450 for the XSE trim seen here.

Under the hood is a 2.0 liter 4-cylinder engine that makes 168 horsepower and 150 lb-ft. of torque. Fuel economy checks in at 31 MPG in the city and 38 MPG on the Highway. The interior of the Corolla XSE is a very pleasant place to spend time. The XSE model get heated leather seats. The center gauge cluster looks very premium.

Compared to the previous generation; the 2020 Corolla is much more refined. Competitors include the Honda Civic, Mazda3, Kia Forte, Chevrolet Cruze, Subaru Impreza, and the Volkswagen Jetta.
