2019 Genesis G70 3.3T Dynamic RWD Test Drive Video Review

Genesis is not a household name in the luxury car segment. It was only a few years ago that Hyundai spun Genesis off into its own premium brand. The 2019 Genesis G70 compact sports sedan looks very promising indeed. Prices range from $34,900 to $52,250. The first hurdle to overcome in the luxury sports sedan segment is first impressions. The G70 makes a big impact with its low, wide, and purposeful stance. The sports package includes a dark chrome grille, 19-inch Sport alloy wheels, and dual exhaust.

Under the hood you can choose between a 2.0 liter turbocharged 4-cylinder and a 3.3 liter twin-turbo V-6 that makes 365 horsepower and 376 lb-ft. of torque. 0-60 MPH take only 4.7 seconds with the top speed maxing out at 167 MPH.

On the inside you will notice the premium details like the quilted Napa leather seats, brushed aluminum trim, and the 8-inch touch screen. Genesis piles on the technology and amenities so you don’t have to pay extra for them.

The Kia Stinger is the basis for the Genesis G70 so all of its great handling properties should translate over to the G70. The ride quality is superb with the adaptive dampeners.
